  • The IITs consist of 7 institues that excel in engineering and technology education at both graduate and post-graduate level. IITs are located at Kharagpur, Mumbai(formerly Bombay), Delhi, Guwahati, Roorkee, Kanpur and Chennai (formerly Madras). Through a common entrance test called Joint Entrance Test, the IITs admit 4000 undergraduate students every year. Total number of graduate students studying for post graduate courses in all IITs at any one time is 12,000.

IITindia.in is designed by IIT alumni. Through this site, the entire student community will aim to provide answers to complicated questions related to the IITs. The IITs - IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Lucknow, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Chennai and IIT Guwahati - already have good web sites, yet it is tough to find answers to vital questions on these websites.

Why IITindia.in?

Admission into IITs is every students dream after 12th standard. Thousands of students search for answers to their questions every year. The IITM, IITC, IITK, IITD, IITK (kharagpur), IITG and IITL official web sites give email address, phone numbers to provide answers to various admission, results related questions, dates, qualification, syllabus etc. But in spite of these efforts, hundreds of students have questions related to migration, or questions that demand opinions of other students that only a dedicated helpline can answer.

IITindia.in aims to do just that.
